  1. What does combi or dual registration entail?
Combi or dual registration is economic, as it entitles you to register for a room with both SSH and WoningNet. WoningNet is in charge of renting out all letting properties in the Utrecht area from building corporations.

  2. Should I choose for a combi registration in order to be able to rent a flat/apartment in a few years' time?
Yes, because from the moment you register, you are also building up waiting time for a flat or apartment you may want after you have finished studying. It takes a number of years of being registered with WoningNet to become eligible for independent housing.

  3. What are the consequences for the status of my WoningNet registration if I am allocated an independent flat or apartment?
If you move from a room to independent housing that is on offer on our site, it will have no influence on your WoningNet registration. However, if you already have an independent apartment and have moved to another independent one, you will lose the waiting time built up with WoningNet.

  4. I am now renting a room from SSH. Can I move on to an independent apartment or am I obliged to register with WoningNet?
Approximately 800 small, independent flats/apartments which are listed on this site are directly allocated to our tenants via this site. In order to respond to them, you will need a WoningNet registration number. It doesn't matter how long you have been registered with WoningNet, since we allocate it by SSH registration number.

You can also respond to any independent housing on offer in the Woningkrant or via www.woningnet.nl
