Consulting our tenants
We have regular consultations and discussions with the tenants organization of our complexes. These bodies of representatives play an important role in both running the apartment complexes and determining the cost and the compilation of services to be included. In other words, the tenants organization provides an opportunity for you to have a say in SSH policy. The tenants' organizations linked to SSH complexes have joined together to form an umbrella tenant organization: BoKS. The tenants organizations are entitled to nominate one of their members for a seat in the SSH's Supervisory Counsel and may also receive financial compensation for their activities.
Participate!
Throughout the years we noticed that it is harder to find tenants willing to participate in the tenants organizations. Therefore we, together with BoKS, decided to look out for different ways to involve our tenants in SSH policy.
- A look around the complex; we walk through the complex and the surroundings, together with the tenants (and possibly others involved). This way we get to know the problems at the complex, which helps us to find a solution for this. For example, we had a look around the complex with tenants of Enny Vredelaan. We found for one thing out, that we needed to improve taking care of the green belt around the complex.
- Panel of tenants; we let a group of tenants discuss a certain topic. We organized panels about our website, what kind of businesses could move into Casa Confetti and about Enny Vredelaan.
- Project groups; we call in the expertise of our tenants about a certain topic. The project group will initiatate something among the tenants. Tenants with a special interest in ICT set up a project group to find a good alternative for the analogous phones used in our complexes. They found a good alternative: the VoIP phone. Together with a provider of VoIP phones they created a made-to-measure proposition for the tenants of the complexes.
Social committee
Do you have problems with a housemate who never does his cleaning tasks? Or are you concerned about a housemate who seldom leaves his room? The social comittee can help with these kinds of problems. The social comittee consist of tenants supported and trained by SSH and Stade.
