Maintenance carried out to keep our rooms and apartments in good technical condition are what we call large scale maintenance. All necessary operations, such as large-scale repairs, replacements and outside paintwork will be paid for by SSH.

In various complexes large scale maintenance is carried out every year for such things as intercom systems, outside paintwork and replacement of the central heating boiler. In addition we replace kitchen units in various complexes, and in a number of city-centre buildings the gutter or roof are renewed.

If  we are going to carry out large-scale maintenance on your apartment, you will receive notice of this beforehand by e-mail (or by letter).

In the Maintenance Planning for 2010 (in Dutch), you can read what they have planned for this year, though this will be dependent on the technical inspections that have already been carried out during the year.

Standard checks

In principle we check in all buildings and complexes every year to see whether the fire safety precautions such as smoke detectors, extinguishers and hose reels are in good working order.

Once or twice a year we check the central heating systems. Once every three years we check the individual mechanical ventilation systems, and collective mechanical ventilation is done every four years.
