Many tenants in our complexes and city buildings make use of an 'Accommodation Account', which facilitates sharing and paying communal costs. Unfortunately it often happens that a house-mate is either late in paying the required share, or does not pay it at all. It is not always easy for the House Prefect to get that housemate to pay up, and legally there are not many possibilities of collecting the amounts outstanding.

In order to put an end to this awkward situation, the IBB's Social Commission developed an  Accommodation Account Agreement at our request, so that financial agreements between housemates could be put into writing. If you use this agreement, you can ask the Social Commission connected to your SSH Utrecht complex to mediate in cases of unpaid debts. The Accommodation Account's administration will obviously not only have to be in perfect order but must also be ready to be produced at request.
