From registration to tenancy
The minimum age for registration is 17, the maximum is 27 years of age and the fee is
€ 27.50,-. If you pay an extra 10 euro you will be registered with WoningNet as well, which will not only save you € 20,- but will also entitle you to already start building up ´waiting-list time´ for a house of your own after finishing your studies. WoningNet charges a further € 9,- per year to extend your registration.
Exception
If you can prove that you will be starting your studies at the age of 17, you may register when you are 16. Please contact one of our housing officers via (030) 25 25 725.
Registration step by step.
The registration form is in Dutch ("Inschrijfformulier"). Next to the registration form you will find an explanation in English.
- Fill in the registration form and pay the registration fee via the Internet Cash Desk which will automatically appear on screen on completion of the form. You can either pay by credit card or via a one time approval for Direct Debit.
- Your Log-in details, which will provide access to your personal page, will be sent to you by e-mail. You can keep a record of all relevant details here, and also store all the mails we send you.
- You may respond immediately to any rooms that are offered. Please bear in mind that the waiting time for the rooms varies a lot and that for some rooms you have to be registered for Higher Education (this applies for De Uithof, IBB, Tuindorp-West and Stadspanden with rent allowance). In the case of independent accommodation you can only react if you are a tenant with SSH and have a contract that is valid for an unlimited length of time.
- You have found a room! You will now be invited by mail to come and sign the Rental Contract at our office. Contract fees are € 30,- for a room and € 45,- for an apartment.
Allocation of rooms takes place online, either on this website or via e-mail, so not only make sure your details are up to date but also that your e-mail is in proper working order!
